Located in the western zone of São Paulo - SP, the House of Weekend is an emblematic project of the spbr architects. The residence, which runs away from the conventional standards of housing, has been designed with a leading role in a swimming pool, a solarium, and a garden.
Designed to function as a family retreat for leisure and contemplation inside the metropolis, the needs program also has a bedroom, a space to meet and greet friends and an apartment for the caretaker.
The pool was leased to the roof to better enjoy the insolation, obliterated at ground level by the neighbors. The ground floor is an open space, to have the largest garden area possible. Between the penthouse and the garden is the apartment.
Led by Angelo Bucci (project author) and Raul Pereira (landscaper), the Casa de Fim de Semana course introduces the design methodology of these professionals. Through conceptual studies, sketches, renders, models, technical drawings and photographs, an approach to the practice of these award-winning architects is tried.
Founder of spbr architects, Angelo Bucci holds a degree in architecture from the University of São Paulo - USP (1987). He also holds a master's degree (1998) and a doctorate (2005) at the same institution.
